 'Best Fitness Instructor' Ithaca Times, September 2006 | Steven Valloney is a Kripalu Yoga Instructor with a Professional Level certification and over
thirty years experience. He received his teacher training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts. Additionally, he has completed advanced training courses, including "Teaching Advanced Pranayama," several courses of "Teaching Advanced Asanas" and "Asanas as Spiritual Doorways" with Yoga Master Yoganand, "Teaching the Deeper Practices," and "How to be Creative in Your Teaching" with Yoga Master Erich Schiffmann.
Steven holds a B.A. in Asian studies from Harpur
College of Binghamton University. For over ten years, he practiced
Tae Kwon Do with Master Huk Tok Yun (former bodyguard to the president
of South Korea) and Master Sang Lee (former U.S. Olympic Coach).
In addition to his ongoing classes at Sunrise Yoga Center, Steven has previously taught yoga and
meditation classes through the Wellness Program at Cornell University for over a decade, at Wisdom's Goldenrod Center for Philosophic and Religious
Studies, BOCES Continuing Education Program, and the Ithaca Fitness Center.
He has facilitated numerous seminars and classes for a variety of educational and private groups, for
