Beginning- A rejuvenating practice that provides a solid foundation for beginning students. Basic breathing techniques and physical postures are explored to promote internal focus. Intermediate - A flowing class that builds on the basics of hatha yoga. The postures experienced in combination with breathwork contribute a deeper sense of self awareness.
Advanced - For the advanced practitioner,
a challenging physical practice in a compassionate, non-competitive
environment. The vigorous flow includes inversions, deep backbends,
arm balances, and advanced pranayama. It is recommended that students
have developed a regular yoga practice before attempting the advanced
class. Bound Lateral Angle or Baddha Parsvakonasana
Classes are ongoing and self-contained.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows for unrestricted movement.
Dress in layers as your body temperature will likely rise and fall during
the class.
Arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of class for setup. Props including blocks, blankets, and straps are provided. Sticky mats are available to rent or buy; most students prefer to use their own mats. Mats (in an assortment of colors and thicknesses) are available for purchase at the studio. Please inform Steven of any physical problems or injuries. Always honor your body and move without strain or force. |
